The WBC2742 is a 27"-wide × 42"-high blind corner wall cabinet — the tallest in the WBC27 series, running floor-to-ceiling in kitchens with full-height upper cabinets. It has one functional door beside a 6" center stile, with a blind section that tucks neatly behind the adjoining wall cabinet. Solid plywood box, soft-close hinges. No particle board. Available ready-to-assemble (RTA) or factory pre-built.

💡 Blind Corner — One Functional Door. The WBC2742 has a single working door (approx. 13⅝" wide, over an ~11" face-frame opening) next to a 6" center stile. The blind section — an ~6¾" face-frame opening — runs behind the cabinet on the adjoining wall. There is no manufacturer requirement to pull the cabinet from the corner, but it can be pulled up to about 3½" if needed.
🔧 Installation tip — use a 3" filler. Add a 3"-wide wall filler (WF342) where the perpendicular wall cabinet meets this one. The filler creates clearance so door hardware can't collide.

Step-by-step assembly

Position the front face
Lay the front face flat on a soft surface — a blanket or folded cardboard — with the dovetail grooves facing upward. These grooves accept the top, bottom, and side panels.
💡 Protect finished surfaces: lay the face on a blanket so the paint doesn't scratch.

Attach the side, top, and bottom panels
Slide each side panel into its dovetail groove on the front face. Repeat for the top and bottom panels. Press firmly until each dovetail is fully seated — you'll feel it stop.

Slide in the back panel
Insert the back panel into the grooves along the inside edges of both side panels. Push evenly until the panel sits completely flush — no gap or overhang.

Secure the 4 corner braces
Place one metal corner brace in each of the 4 top interior corners. Fasten each to its two panels with the included screws. Snug is enough — don't overtighten.
💡 Start all 4 screws loosely, confirm the cabinet is square, then tighten fully.

Install the shelves
Choose your shelf height and push the shelf clips into the matching pre-drilled holes on both side panels. Slide the shelf in with its finished edge facing outward.
💡 Stand the cabinet upright to test shelf height before mounting on the wall.

RTA (Ready to Assemble) is the best value and ships flat-packed, reducing freight cost and damage risk. The blind side is field-configurable for either corner orientation. Assembly takes 15–30 minutes. Processed in up to 14 business days — most ship within 3–8 business days.

Wall cabinets are usually finished with molding at the top and bottom, plus fillers to close gaps. Most orders for this cabinet include:

  • LCM8 Crown Molding — caps the top of the wall cabinets against the ceiling or as a decorative top edge. Sold in 8′ lengths.
  • LVC Large Cove Crown Molding — a larger cove-profile crown for a more substantial top treatment, especially on 42" cabinets that run to the ceiling. Sold in 8′ lengths.
  • LRM8 Light Rail Molding — mounts under the wall cabinets to finish the bottom edge and conceal under-cabinet lighting. Sold in 8′ lengths.
  • WF342 (3") or WF642 (6") Wall Fillers — close gaps between wall cabinets, or between a cabinet and the wall. Both can be trimmed on installation.
  • TUK Touch-Up Kit — recommended with every cabinet order. Covers any nicks or scratches picked up during assembly or installation, and normal wear-and-tear over the cabinet’s lifetime.
