The WBC2730 is a 27-inch wide by 30-inch high blind corner wall cabinet in the Faircrest White Shaker line, 12 inches deep. It turns the dead corner where two runs of wall cabinets meet into usable storage. It has one functional door beside a 6-inch center stile, with a blind section that tucks behind the adjoining wall cabinet. How does a blind corner wall cabinet work?

The WBC2730 sits in the corner with its blind section running behind the wall cabinet on the adjoining wall. Only one side has a functional door; the blind section provides access to the corner space from that door. This lets two runs of wall cabinets meet at a 90-degree inside corner without wasting the space behind them.

What are the door and opening sizes on the WBC2730?

The functional door is approximately 13⅝ inches wide, over a face-frame door opening of about 11 inches. The center stile in the face frame is 6 inches wide. The blind-section face-frame opening is approximately 6¾ inches wide.

Does the WBC2730 need to be pulled away from the corner?

There is no manufacturer requirement to pull the WBC2730 from the corner during installation. If needed, it can be pulled a maximum of about 3½ inches, thanks to the width of the 6-inch center stile.

Do I need a filler with the WBC2730?

💡 Blind Corner — One Functional Door. The WBC2730 has a single working door (approx. 13⅝" wide, over an ~11" face-frame opening) next to a 6" center stile. The blind section — an ~6¾" face-frame opening — runs behind the cabinet on the adjoining wall. There is no manufacturer requirement to pull the cabinet from the corner, but it can be pulled up to about 3½" if needed, thanks to the width of the center stile.

Step-by-step assembly

Position the front face

Lay the front face flat on a soft surface — a blanket or folded cardboard works well — with the dovetail grooves facing upward. These grooves accept the top, bottom, and side panels in the next step.

💡 Protect finished surfaces: set the face down on a blanket so the paint doesn't scratch.

Attach the side, top, and bottom panels

Slide each side panel into its dovetail groove on the front face. Then do the same for the top and bottom panels. Press firmly until each dovetail is fully seated — you'll feel it stop.

💡 Do one panel at a time and check alignment before moving to the next.

Slide in the back panel

Insert the back panel into the grooves along the inside edges of both side panels. Push evenly on both sides until the panel sits completely flush — no gap or overhang.

Secure the 4 corner braces

Place one metal corner brace in each of the 4 top interior corners of the cabinet. Fasten each brace to its two panels with the included screws. Snug is enough — don't overtighten.

💡 Start all 4 screws loosely first, confirm the cabinet is square, then tighten fully.

Install the shelves

Choose your shelf height and push the shelf clips into the matching pre-drilled holes on both side panels. Slide the shelf in from the front with its finished edge facing outward.

💡 Stand the cabinet upright to test shelf height before mounting it on the wall.

Wall cabinets are usually finished with molding at the top and bottom, plus fillers to close gaps. Most orders for this cabinet include:

LCM8 Crown Molding — caps the top of the wall cabinets against the ceiling or as a decorative top edge. Sold in 8′ lengths.
LVC Large Cove Crown Molding — a larger cove-profile crown for a more substantial top treatment, especially on 42" cabinets that run to the ceiling. Sold in 8′ lengths.
LRM8 Light Rail Molding — mounts under the wall cabinets to finish the bottom edge and conceal under-cabinet lighting. Sold in 8′ lengths.
