UOC3384 - 33" Wide, 84" High Universal Oven Cabinet - White Shaker

There's no dedicated assembly video for the universal oven cabinet, but it goes together the same way as our tall pantry cabinets — and the standard drawer base video is the best reference for building the drawers in the lower section. Watch both, then follow the written steps below. Plan on about 45–75 minutes with a screwdriver or drill and a rubber mallet.

Build the cabinet box

1. Lay the front face on a soft surface with the dovetail grooves facing up — these grooves receive the bottom panel and side panels.
2. Slide the side panels into the dovetail grooves on the front face, making sure the dovetails line up and fully engage.
3. Slide the bottom panel and center panel into the grooves on the side panels.
4. Slide the back panel into the grooves until flush, then secure the back panel, center panel, and bottom panel with screws.
5. Clip the front and back toe-kick plates to the side panels (clips fully engaged). Attach the metal brackets to the side panels and bottom panel with screws, then fit a metal corner brace into each of the 4 top corners and screw them to the panels to lock everything square.
6. Stand the cabinet upright. Push the shelf clips into the pre-drilled holes at your preferred height and slide in the shelf(s), finished front edge facing out.

Build & fit the drawers (single-oven setup uses all three; for a double oven, skip the upper two)

7. Lay a drawer front grooves-up and slide the drawer side panels into the dovetail grooves until engaged (tap with a mallet if needed).
8. Slide the drawer bottom in with the finished side up, then attach the drawer back panel — dovetails fully engaged.
9. Screw the drawer-member slides to the drawer sides through the pre-drilled holes.
10. Fit the cabinet-member slides: push the barbed dowels into the back panel's pre-drilled holes, screw the sockets to the back panel, then screw the front of each slide to the side panel.
11. Slide each drawer onto its guides through the front of the cabinet. The top drawer is the shallower one; the bottom two are the deeper drawers. Repeat for each drawer you're installing.

Optional — wood glue for a sturdier finish: A small amount of wood glue in the dovetail joints gives a stronger, more permanent bond. It's completely optional — many of our regular clients have their own preferred way of building these, and there's no right or wrong method. Build it the way that works best for you.

All measurements are nominal. Allow ±1/8" tolerance. Confirm ceiling height and your oven's cut-out requirements before ordering.

• Box: ½" solid plywood — no particle board. Holds screws well and resists sag on a tall cabinet carrying an oven.
• Face Frame: Solid wood, not MDF.
• Doors: An upper double-door storage compartment (approx. 12" high) with full-overlay butt doors above the oven opening (HDF with solid wood shaker profile).
• Drawers: Three ¾" solid-wood dovetail drawer boxes on undermount soft-close glides — the top drawer shallower, the bottom two deeper.
• Oven opening: Factory cut-out 28½" wide × 22" high fits any standard wall oven; set up for a single oven, a double oven, or an oven/microwave by leaving out the upper two drawers and cutting to fit.
• Hinge: European-style soft-close concealed hinges, 6-way adjustable.
• Interior: Color-matched box and shelves, natural drawers. Door bumpers included.

RTA (Ready to Assemble) is the best value and ships flat-packed, which is a real advantage on a cabinet this tall and heavy — lower freight cost and less damage risk. RTA also lets you set the drawer layout yourself for a single or double oven. RTA orders are processed in up to 14 business days — though most are ready within 3–8 business days.
