The FSB36 is a 36"-wide farm sink base cabinet built to house an apron-front (farmhouse) sink — to the standard contractors and designers actually rely on: solid plywood box, soft-close hardware. No particle board. No shortcuts. Available ready-to-assemble (RTA) or factory pre-built.

At $316.62 vs. the $554.99 MSRP, this is trade-quality construction at a price that makes your flip or remodel pencil out.

💡 Farm Sink Base — Apron Front, Cut to Fit. The FSB36 is built for an apron-front farmhouse sink. It has butt-style doors and no drawers or shelves — the interior is left open for the sink and plumbing. The front apron panel is cut on site to fit the specific farm sink you install, since apron-front sinks vary in height and reveal from brand to brand. The two lower doors are 18" high, and the cabinet accommodates a farm sink up to 11" deep. The result is a clean, custom fit around your chosen sink.

Watch a step-by-step walkthrough of assembling your RTA base cabinet. Most cabinets assemble in 15–30 minutes with standard tools.

Note for the FSB36: This farm sink base is assembled the same way as the standard base cabinet shown in the video, with two differences — there are no drawers on this cabinet, and the front apron panel is cut to fit the specific farm sink you are installing.

  • Box: ½" solid plywood on all four sides — no particle board. Plywood holds screws significantly better and won't swell or delaminate if exposed to moisture — important under a sink.
  • Face Frame: Solid wood, not MDF. Stays rigid, accepts paint and stain well.
  • Doors: Two butt-style doors with soft-close European hinges, 6-way adjustable.
  • Apron front panel: A removable front panel that is cut on site to fit your apron-front farm sink. Because farmhouse sinks differ in height and reveal between brands, the panel is trimmed to match your specific sink.
  • Configuration: Farm sink base — no drawers and no shelves. The interior is left open to receive the sink and plumbing.
  • Interior: Color-matched box.
  • Door bumpers: Included.

RTA (Ready to Assemble) is the best value and ships flat-packed, reducing freight cost and damage risk. Assembly takes 15–30 minutes with standard tools. RTA orders are processed in up to 14 business days before they are ready to ship or collect — though most are ready within 3–8 business days, if not sooner.

Factory Assembled units arrive pre-built and ready to install. Ideal if you want to skip assembly or need a turnkey solution for a client. Assembled cabinets are bulkier to ship, so freight can be higher. Factory assembled orders are processed in up to 21 business days — typically 10–15 business days on average. Note that the front apron panel is still cut to fit your farm sink on site. Contact us — we can often reduce freight costs, especially on larger orders.

How does the front panel on the FSB36 work?
The FSB36 ships with a removable front apron panel that is cut on site to fit the specific farm sink you install. Apron-front sinks vary in height and reveal between brands, so the panel is trimmed to match your sink for a clean, custom fit.

Does the FSB36 come with a sink?
No — the FSB36 is the cabinet only. It's designed to receive a customer-supplied apron-front farm sink, and the front panel is cut to fit that sink.

How tall are the doors, and what size sink fits?
The two lower doors are 18" high, set below an upper apron section roughly 12" high. The cabinet accommodates an apron-front farm sink up to 11" deep. Confirm your sink's apron height and depth against the cabinet before installation.

Why are there no drawers or shelves?
A farm sink base is left open inside to make room for the apron sink and its plumbing. That's why the FSB36 has butt-style doors and no drawers or shelves.

Are these cabinets solid wood or particle board?
The box is ½" solid plywood. The face frame is solid wood. We do not use particle board. The doors are engineered HDF (high-density fiberboard) with a solid wood shaker profile — standard across the industry for painted shaker doors.

How long does assembly take?
15–30 minutes with a drill and rubber mallet. Assembly matches a standard base cabinet, except there are no drawers and the front panel is cut to fit your sink. Watch the assembly video above for a full walkthrough.

Can I add a roll-out tray?
Yes — the optional ROT36 Universal Roll-Out Tray can be used with this cabinet to add pull-out access below the sink area, where clearances allow.

Farm sink bases are usually completed with a few finishing pieces. Most orders for this cabinet include:

  • TK8 Toe Kick — sold in 8′ strips. Installed over the structural toe kicks to cover seams and make the toe kick area one continuous surface across the cabinet run.
  • BF3 (3") or BF6 (6") Base Fillers — close gaps between cabinets, or between cabinets and walls. Both can be trimmed in height and/or width on installation.
  • TUK Touch-Up Kit — recommended with every cabinet order. Covers any nicks or scratches picked up during assembly or installation, and normal wear-and-tear over the cabinet’s lifetime.
  • ROT36 Universal Roll-Out Tray — the optional roll-out tray sized for this cabinet. Adds smooth pull-out access in the space below the farm sink, where sink and plumbing clearances allow.

Installing on an island or peninsula? If the back of this cabinet will be exposed, finish it with:

  • SPW Skin Panel — a 36" × 96" panel that covers exposed cabinet backs. It can be trimmed on installation, depending on the needs of the remodel.
  • OCS8 Outside Corner Molding — covers the raw corner where the back panel meets the cabinet box for a clean, finished island or peninsula end.

End of a run with an exposed side?

  • DP2430 Decorative End Panel — a decorative "false door" panel for exposed cabinet sides at the end of a run. Dresses the exposed side to match the cabinet faces for an elevated, premium finish.
