The B48 is a 48"-wide double door & double drawer base cabinet built to the standard contractors and designers actually rely on — solid plywood box, soft-close everything, dovetail drawer joints. No particle board. No shortcuts. Available ready-to-assemble (RTA) or factory pre-built.
At $461 vs. the $808 MSRP, this is trade-quality construction at a price that makes your flip or remodel pencil out.
Note on door design: At 48" wide, this cabinet features a center stile running vertically down the face frame between the two doors. This is standard construction for wider cabinets and provides structural rigidity — the doors close against the center stile rather than meeting edge-to-edge (butt doors).

- Box: ½" solid plywood on all four sides — no particle board. Plywood holds screws significantly better and won't swell or delaminate if exposed to moisture.
- Face Frame: Solid wood with a center stile. At 48" wide, the center stile runs vertically between the two doors, providing structural rigidity across the wider span. Doors close against the stile rather than meeting butt-to-butt.
- Drawer Box: ¾" solid wood with English dovetail joinery — the same construction found in cabinets costing 3× as much.
- Drawer Glide: Undermount soft-close. Invisible when the drawer is closed; rated for thousands of open/close cycles.
- Hinge: European-style soft-close concealed hinge, 6-way adjustable. Allows fine-tuning of door alignment after installation.
- Shelf: ¾" adjustable half-depth shelf. Half-depth gives clear access to items in front while providing full support.
- Interior: Color-matched box and shelves; natural finish on drawer interiors.
- Door & drawer bumpers: Included.
RTA (Ready to Assemble) is the best value. Cabinets ship flat-packed, which reduces freight cost and damage risk. Assembly takes 15–30 minutes per cabinet with standard tools. If you're a contractor, flipper, or confident DIYer — RTA is the way to go. RTA orders can take up to 14 working days to process before they are ready to be shipped or collected. However, in most cases, they are ready within 4–8 working days, if not sooner.
Factory Assembled is ideal if you want to skip assembly entirely or you're buying for a client who needs turnkey delivery. Note that assembled cabinets are bulkier to ship, so freight can be higher. Factory assembled orders can take up to 21 working days to process before they are ready to be shipped or collected. On average, these usually take between 8–15 working days. Contact us — for multi-cabinet orders we can often get assembled pricing competitive with standard rates.
Are these cabinets solid wood or particle board?
The box is ½" solid plywood. The face frame is solid wood. We do not use particle board. The doors are engineered HDF (high-density fiberboard) with a solid wood shaker profile — this is standard across the industry for painted shaker doors and provides excellent stability.
Why does this cabinet have a center stile?
At 48" wide, a center stile running vertically down the face frame between the doors is standard construction. It provides structural rigidity across the wider span and gives each door a solid surface to close against. This is a premium detail — not a limitation.
Do you carry specialty sizes not found at big box stores?
Yes — the B48, B42, and B48 are widths that Home Depot, Lowe's, and most standard RTA retailers simply don't carry. These specialty sizes are one of our core advantages for professionals designing custom kitchen layouts.
How long does it take to assemble an RTA cabinet?
Most base cabinets take 15–30 minutes with a drill and rubber mallet. Watch the assembly video above for a full walkthrough.
What tools do I need to assemble?
A drill (or screwdriver), rubber mallet, and clamps are all you need. No special tools required.
Can I order a sample door?
Yes. Contact us and we'll arrange a sample so you can match your finish before committing to a full order.
Do you offer trade pricing for contractors and flippers?
Yes. Reach out through our contact page to discuss volume pricing, net terms, and trade account options.
