Construction:
Our cabinetry features four-sided drawer boxes from 5/8th thick hardwood, a fully captured 3/8th thick plywood bottom, and dovetail joints.  None of our cabinets are made from particle board.


How is the interior of the cabinet finished?
The interior is finished the same as the exterior of the cabinet.

Are your products CARB2 certified?
Yes, all Faircrest products are 100% in compliance with CARB Phase 1 & CARB Phase 2 defined guidelines of composite wood products.

Are these cabinets strong enough to support a granite top?
Our “all wood” construction for all of our cabinets insures the strength required to support granite, concrete or any other countertop material that you may select. No additional cabinet reinforcement is required.

Do your cabinets have "soft close" doors?
A soft close door/drawer feature is standard on all white shaker cabinets unless otherwise specified.

Do I need a finished panel for the exposed cabinet ends?
No, all of our cabinets come with finished exteriors.

How much weight can your drawers hold?
120 lbs

Ordering and Shipping:

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major forms of credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.

How long does it take to process an order?
Some of our orders can be processed within 2-3 days.  However, our average time to process orders is 7-10 working days - and we go in the order they were received.  We have a high volume of orders coming in each week and we endeavor to process them as quickly as possible.  Once the orders are processed, they are ready for shipment.

**Update June 11th, 2021 - Due to exceptionally high volume, orders are currently taking 7-14 working days to process before they are ready for collection/shipment.**

Why can't I see the shipment cost on checkout?
Shipment charges are changing all the time.  Further, during the pandemic, the costs of shipping seem to be increasing from one week to the next.  Your shipping amount will be calculated at the time the order is being processed.  At which time, you'll also get an approximate time scale on the transit time needed for the order.

Why doesn't thewhiteshaker offer free shipping?
This is a service that we had hoped to launch with.  However recent changes in current events have exponentially inflated shipping costs to a level where we cannot predict or price-in shipping into our prices.  With this in mind, we're committed to keeping our own prices as low as possible to help you keep within your budget.  Pricing increases (especially to shipping) are affecting the whole industry... not just cabinetry.

How do you ship your cabinetry?
Most orders will be shipped on a pallet via LTL (Less than Truck Load) carrier.  Some smaller items may ship by various other providers.

Can I pick up my cabinets instead of having them shipped?
Sure - however, we must note that the cabinets are usually shipped by third party shipping companies directly from the supplier.  The supplier has several warehouses across the country and may not have your complete order in one location.  If you insist on collecting your own order, please contact our customer service representatives and we'll see what we can do to accommodate your request.

Can I handle my own shipping?
We work with third party logistics companies to get some of the lowest possible rates.  We'll always try to get you the best deal possible.  However, if you're able to get a better rate then you can certainly handle your own shipping.  In turn, you will be responsible for creating the paperwork, arranging the pickup and filling any applicable claims.  Please contact our customer service so that we can accommodate your request.

How long does shipping take?
Depending on your location, the transit time could take 1-6 days from the time the shipping company picks up the processed order.  A realistic update is provided at the time the order is processed by our team.  These timescales are outside of our control, but you'll be able to track the shipment once the order has been processed and left the warehouse.

What if my shipment contains damaged items?
Please notate any damages with the freight company on the delivery receipt.  Do not refuse the shipment.  Take photos of the damaged items and contact a member of our team to start the claim process.  Our team will work with Faircrest Cabinets to review and replace the damaged pieces in a timely manner once the claim is approved.

Can I make changes to my order?
You can always add or subtract from your order once it has been placed - as long as the order has not yet been processed.  Any changes to your order may delay your order or have an impact on the shipping costs.  Contact our customer service team if you need to make any changes to your order.  Additional charges may be levied in some instances.
